There's a lot going on at Frerichs Farm this month, so we thought we'd send another letter your way to keep you up to date.

thymeSome of you may have already heard, but David was asked to host the "Great Gardens" segment of FOX Providence's "The Rhode Show" which airs weekdays, 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. on channel 64. The first segment aired on April 13th when David gave advice on what is safe to plant in early spring. Watch the segment by clicking here.

Future segments will run throughout the season. Here is a rundown of Great Gardens segments airing in April and May.

Wednesday, April 29th
Planting window boxes that last all season long

Monday, May 11th
Growing giant pumpkins and other planting advice

Friday, May 22nd
Integrating vegetable plants into your landscape

We'll let you know of other upcoming shows as we get further into the season.

pansiesBesides being stars of the little screen (ha!), we're certainly busy at the farm now that we're open. Our greenhouses are full of colorful annuals, although it may still be a bit early for planting many of the temperature-sensitive varieties. However, it is a good time to plant quite a few vegetable plants that we have available: parsley, lettuce, peas, cabbage, kale, broccoli, beets, carrots, chard, onions, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, rhubarb, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. That's quite the list! Plus, we have a wide variety of perennials that are safe to go in the ground now.

The gift barn is fully stocked with unique items for your home or to give as memorable gifts and classes are in full swing in April and May, so sign up before they're full.

Looking forward to seeing you again!
