Newsletter / August 2012

We're really having a pretty nice summer--hopefully your gardens agree! August is a month to start enjoying the fruits of your labor. Colors should be bursting in your landscape and many of your veggies should be finding their way to your table. Are you finding black spots on the bottom of your tomatoes? This is due to a calcium mineral deficiency which can be remedied very easily: Put 2 tablespoons of epson salts per gallon of water and water your tomato plants with this solution. Do this at least 2 or 3 times and you should not have further problems with blossom end rot.

We've had several people asking us about this year's Fantasy Faire. Although it was held in July last year, this year's Faire will be held on September 8th and 9th. Stay tuned for details.

We still have a healthy stock of perennials, veggie plants, fall annuals, fertilizer, soil, containers and all of the gardening paraphernalia, so swing by if you need a little something for your garden.

Continue to enjoy your summer!
