It's October (yes, already!), so pumpkins are on our minds...and all around our farm. These vegetables (members of the gourd family) have been grown in America for over 5,000 years and have really taken root the world over. The earliest known tracing of pumpkins are seeds found in Mexico that date back to 7,000 - 5,000 BC!

Not only are we anticipating some giant pumpkins, but October is big all around here at the farm. We have Pumpkin Palooza every weekend through the end of the month, the SNGPG Pumpkin Weigh-Off is October10th and we have launched a new webstore!

The Pumpkin Palooza started in September and the families joining in have had a blast. In fact, Fox Providence's The Rhode Show was here recently and captured all the fun on film which you can see below. Of course, we anticipate more than 4,000 people to join us at this year's Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off on October 10th. This is a true national event with media attention and world record breaking pumpkins! More information is to the right.

Our Gift Barn certainly has that Fall vibe. We're currently featuring home and gift items with that Fall flare and you'll just die when you see our frightfully good Halloween decorative items (and some are just so cute it's scary!).

Our ever-anticipated Christmas Loft is open as of October 1st. If you're already in that Christmas mode or simply want to step into a little holiday cheer, come on upstairs in our Gift Barn.
